Update 2, also known as the Payload Defense Update, is an update for Dungeon Lootr introducing Payload Defense, four new classes, a new currency, and additional shop rewards. Its release and accompanying Admin Abuse event were announced for September 19, 2026.[1]
Payload Defense
Payload Defense is a game mode in which players travel across the Floating Aisles and fight through increasingly difficult checkpoints. During a run, players can rescue allies to receive buffs that help their team progress. The run ends with a battle against Torus. Players earn Aether Marks, a currency spent in the new Payload Shop.[1]

The update announcement lists four new classes, with Fae obtained through Payload Defense and Crescent Blade available through a limited bundle.[1]
Payload Shop
The Payload Shop allows players to exchange Aether Marks for rewards, including:
- Celestial Gear
- Reforge Stones
- Aspect Gems
- Titles
- Resource chests
- Exotic Ore and Exotic Ingots
- Payload cosmetics
Additional shop rewards were included to support continued progression through the mode.[1]
New Titles
The update introduces five titles:
- Eclipse Sovereign
- Torus Slayer
- Skyfarer
- Zephyr
- Nature's Grace
Some new titles provide stat bonuses while equipped. The announcement does not specify which titles grant bonuses or their values.[1]
Bundles
Three Update 2 bundles were announced for the shop, offering Aether Marks, resources, cosmetics, and other rewards. Crescent Blade is available through its limited Update 2 bundle.[1]
